Marco Aponte-Moreno

Professor of Clinical Management and Organization

Marco Aponte-Moreno, MBA, Ph.D. Professor Aponte-Moreno specializes in leadership development, strategic management, and cross-cultural negotiations. He brings a unique approach to executive education by integrating principles from the arts, particularly theater, to cultivate leadership skills in business settings. His book, Leadership as Performance: Developing Leadership Skills through Acting, explores how acting techniques can enhance key leadership skills such as self-awareness, presence, authenticity, communication, and emotional intelligence.

Before transitioning to academia, he worked in global corporate finance for international firms, including Crédit Lyonnais (France), Mizuho (Japan), and ED&F Mann (UK). Originally from Venezuela, Professor Aponte-Moreno has lived and worked in the US, France, and the UK. His interdisciplinary research and experiential workshops are highly regarded in MBA and executive education programs for their innovative approach to leadership development.
