Mike Stigers

Adjunct Professor, Food Industry Program

Mike Stigers holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Science in Food Industry Leadership from the University of Southern California.

Bringing five decades of experience in the food industry, Stigers joined Wakefern as President in June 2023. He has held executive leadership roles spanning operations, merchandising, supply chain, and fresh foods. In addition, he has experience on the vendor side, having served as a regional vice president for both a retail automation software company and a food safety company. Stigers is deeply engaged in industry trade associations, having served on the boards of the California Grocers Association, FMI, NACDS, and GS1. He is also a past president of the Western Association of Food Chains and a former chair of the National Grocers Association (NGA).
