Johanna Nielsen
As Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller at Nike, Inc., Johanna Nielsen serves on the Executive Finance Leadership Team and plays a critical role in shaping the function’s strategic direction and transformation roadmap. Her leadership includes advancing shared service delivery models and driving automation across key finance processes.
Nielsen’s scope spans all aspects of controllership, including external reporting, technical accounting and policy, finance governance and controls, operating segment controllership, corporate accounting, close and consolidation processes. She also leads the development of the finance function’s multi-year strategy, defining priority initiatives, establishing KPIs, and measuring return on investment.
Over the course of her career, Nielsen has built a broad and diverse portfolio of experience across controllership, financial planning and analysis, strategic development and execution, business and technology transformation, investment portfolio management, and global capital markets. Her industry experience includes consumer products, nonprofit organizations, manufacturing, and technology.
In addition to her corporate leadership roles, Nielsen has held senior consulting positions at Deloitte, including within advisory and capital markets practices. She has also led major enterprise initiatives at Nike, including serving as Vice President of Strategic Enterprise Capabilities, where she oversaw ERP implementation, and Vice President of Finance, Strategy and Operations.
